“Being Women” an NGO to enhance the Socio-economic status of young underprivileged women by empowering them with self confidence and required skills to enable them to become independent and contribute to family and society has been launched in the city of Hyderabad.
“Being Women” has been started and committed to work towards Women Empowerment, education and upliftment of weaker sections of the society. The Founder President Mrs. Ruchika Sharma who won the Crown Mrs. South Asia International 2014 at Florida, United States, Mrs. International Finalist 2014, Mrs. India Hyderabad International 2014 and Mrs. India Popular 2013 titles at different places worldwide.
Individually she was into many welfare activities but now stepping ahead with a dedicated team for the welfare and empowerment of women.
Being Women since childhood I was very sensitive towards girl child brought up in our society right from birth, child abuse, women abuse and various atrocities towards women. I used to think after growing big I have to do something to overcome and address these type problems and empower women towards self development.
In this context i have started this NGO with good intention to support and empower women in all fields of life. Such as health, education and livelihoods. As a starting project we are launching cancer screening camps in 70 urban slums in greater Hyderabad supported by Destination healthcare Organization Nutrition camps schools children in Rangareddy district. And livelihoods project in old city, said Ruchika Sharma, Founder President, Being Women.
